About
I came to Rutgers in Spring 2008. I received a BSc (Hons.) (German Diplom) in Computer Science from the University of Furtwangen in Germany. During my studies, I worked as an for IBM, Lexware GmbH and TechniData AG in Germany. I completed my PhD with the Robert Gordon University in Aberdeen, Scotland where I investigated contextual effects and the ability of context to improve mobile search. During my PhD I worked as a research assistant for two large-scale EU-IST research projects. My research interests are focused on personalized and context-aware computing, user modeling and search (interactive information retrieval (IIR) and seeking) with a special interest in user-centered evaluation and mobile information systems.
My background is oriented in both computer and information science and I am currently looking for a faculty position where I can apply my interdisciplinary expertise.
